Poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) is a very interesting polyelectrolyte known to undergo conformation changes when pH or/and ionic strength are modified. Both intermolecular hydrogen bonds between carboxyl groups on neighboring chains and hydrophobic interactions induced by the methyl lead to physical cross-links that are assumed to be responsible for the gel behavior in semi diluted and concentrated regime. These gel comportments appear in two really different condintions : by heating (fig 1 a) or shearing solution (fig 1 b) . Gels formed in both conditions forme completely different structure which we will study by combination of different technics (rheology, SANS...) to understand theire structure.
